About Us

Tetra Materials provides bulk metallic glass moulds with precise features from the macro to the nano-scale. Metallic glass is a revolutionary material. It has a number of extra-ordinary properties due to its amorphous atomic structure, which make it an ideal material for moulding nano-patterned structures into polymers.

Tetra Materials expertise is derived from research carried out on metallic glass at the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering, University College Dublin. Work done by the Phase Transformation Group led by Prof. David Browne developed knowledge in the production, processing and patterning of metallic glass.

This technology has enormous potential for imprinting micro to nano-scale structures in polymer substrates and Tetra Materials aims to leverage this technology to deliver metallic glass moulds to a range of industries where it enables cost savings and process capabilities that cannot be met with existing techniques.
